At Pickles Group, our work every day is centered on the wellbeing of kids, parents, and caregivers.
As an organization grounded in community, gratitude, and love through hardship, we are grieving the profound loss of life that has occurred this month in shootings in our hometown of Chicago, at Tops Friendly Market in New York, at the Laguna Wood Church in California, and now, the devastation at Robb Elementary School in Texas.
In an effort to deliver on the promise we make every day — helping families through life's toughest times and conversations — we are sharing a resource from the Child Traumatic Stress Network, "Talking to Children about the Shooting" and a child-life resource on "Man Made Disasters" recommended by our Chief Clinical Program Officer, Kelsey Mora.
Our hearts are broken and our commitment to helping families is resolute. We will support community wellbeing through action until we achieve the safe world we all deserve.
