On October 2 we’re hosting two unique programs for kids facing a parent’s cancer. Our families can choose which program best meetings their needs.
Option 1: Pickles Empower Weekend Cohort from 11am-3pm
This special empowering day is designed to help youth form deep bonds with new friends while taking an important step to support their social-emotional wellbeing: learning about cancer. Youth will build relationships with friends who get them in a safe, supportive, fun environment. Both new and existing Pickles Group youth who have not attended an Empower Day are welcome to attend.
Option 2: Monthly North Shore Youth Drop-In Meeting from 4pm-5:30pm
Youth build relationships with friends who get them in a safe, supportive, fun environment at our monthly in-person Chicago North Pickles Group meeting. New and existing Pickles Group youth are welcome.

This month while our youth meet, parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to meet with and hear from Stephanie Lieber, the Executive Director of national cancer support organization Imerman Angels.
