National Webinar: Centering the experience of black families -How To Talk to Kids About Cancer [June]

In recognition of Juneteenth, Pickles Group is collaborating with TOUCH, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, Sisters Working it Out, and Zero Prostate Cancer to bring you a live and free webinar + parent panel focused on the unique experiences of Black families parenting with cancer.

Telling kids about a parent or guardian’s cancer diagnosis can be hard. At the same time, research shows that open, age-appropriate conversations with kids about their parent’s illness helps to decrease their worry, stress, and anxiety and promotes their social-emotional wellbeing. Our Chief Clinical Officer, Kelsey Mora, LCPC, CCLS is an expert in supporting families through illness. Register for this webinar to receive a free digital copy of our Pickles Family Support Kit, to learn how to talk to kids about cancer, and to hear from a panel of Black parents and families who share their lived experience talking with kid about cancer.

Please note that all event times are in Central Time.
