Celebrating the Life of Pickles Founding Parent Ned Smith

SMITH FAMILY-142.jpg

Pickles Community,

We are heartbroken to share that last weekend, Ned Smith, a beloved Pickles founding parent, passed away with his family by his side in hospice care after a three-year battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Ned touched the lives of the people around him through his brilliant research and teaching, his strength of character and spirit, and his loving and caring nature. We are beyond grateful for his founding contributions to Pickles Group, an organization that wouldn’t exist without Ned, his wife Erin, and their incredible kids. Ned’s friends, family, and community will miss him deeply. We are all better off because of the precious time we spent with him.

The Smiths will be sharing more information about Ned’s celebration of life via their CaringBridge site.

Pickles is committed to honoring Ned with the work we do. We send our deepest condolences, love, and support to the Smith 6.

Sincerely,

Cassy Horton
Pickles Group
Executive Director
